Import

Raw materials from South America

We source raw materials in South America and bring them to Germany with a record of where they came from.

Raw materials with a traceable route

Raw materials from South America reach Germany through a chain of suppliers, carriers and authorities. Each link has to be documented, because the buyer in Europe has to show where the goods came from.

Nexus Trade + Flow arranges the supply, checks the suppliers, controls quality and quantity, and handles shipping, import clearance and the documentation that follows from it.

Scope

Where we take part

  • Sourcing We find and contract suppliers in the producing countries.
  • Supplier checks We look into who is delivering and how the goods are produced.
  • Quality and quantity control We arrange for the goods to be checked before they are shipped.
  • Shipping We organise carriage from the port of loading to the port of destination.
  • Import clearance and documentation We prepare the papers that customs and the receiving side require.

EUDR: from 2027 the supply chain has to carry geodata

The EU Deforestation Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, covers seven commodities: cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soy and wood, together with products made from them. It applies to medium and large companies from 30 December 2026, and to micro and small companies from 30 June 2027.

Companies within its scope have to record the geolocation of the plots where the goods were produced, submit a due diligence statement in the EU information system TRACES, and pass reference numbers along the supply chain.

Anyone importing from South America in 2027 therefore needs a supply chain that can be traced back to the plot. We build the sourcing so that these records exist from the outset.
